Distressed Properties in Buncombe County

I wanted to share some information regarding the number of distressed properties that are on the market in Buncombe County. Based on data from the Western North Carolina Regional MLS as of this morning, there are 3,016 residential properties on the market. Of those properties, less than 3% are bank owned (REO) or in froclosure; less than 4% are listed as short-sales. That makes less than 10% of Buncombe County's real estate market distressed properties. Food for thought on a rainy Tuesday.
